GP Consultations

GP Consultations

Our focus is great patient care and offering our patients a range of options to allow you to access our service at a time and a place that suits you.

That is why we offer evening and weekend appointments to our patients if they need them and if it is more convenient and practical, we can offer a video tele-consult or for those with mobility issues or chronic conditions we can visit you in your own home.

We offer a discreet, personalised service with a small focused team that hopes to re-create the feeling of attending your “own family GP Practice” where the care is personalised.

We can offer rapid access appointments for those who feel they need to be seen urgently and we have certain slots reserved each day to accommodate these appointments.

We aim to make accessing our services as easy as possible with online booking and the use of on line documents which you can electronically sign rather that dealing with pages and pages of documentation.

We are committed to exceptional patient centred care at a time that suits you. We offer daytime, evening and weekend appointments for your convenience.

Our Practitioners are dedicated to the care of a smaller number of patients, so they have more time for you. They’ll be with you every step of the way, tailoring care around your needs and giving the peace-of-mind that comes with knowing you’re in the best hands.

We treat all age groups, infants through to seniors citizens and we offer GP consultations for the whole spectrum of conditions you would normally visit a GP to discuss.

If you need to contact us you can call us, email us or submit an enquiry form and one of our team will contact you to get the ball rolling. Alternatively, you can click on the Book Now tab and make an appointment on line today.

We offer a wide range of services which are listed in the “Services” section of this website. The rule of thumb is that if you have a condition you would normally go to your NHS GP to discuss then we would also be happy to see you.

We also offer some extended services you might not find in a GP Surgery.

Full Audiology Service – Including fitting of Hearing Aids

Injectable Services – Both for medical conditions and aesthetics

Ultrasound Scanning – Medical and Antenatal

If you have any medical conditions or concerns that you do not see mentioned on our site please call our clinic, we may be able to see you or signpost you to another service or provider who can help.

Registering with our clinic and being treated by one of our GPs or Practitioners will NOT affect your registration at your NHS practice. We recommend that patients maintain their registration with NHS services and that you give consent that Doc Plus can update your GP on treatments and tests carried out by Doc Plus so that your NHS GP holds your complete medical records history.

As with most GP services the role of primary care is to diagnose and treat conditions that patients present with and in many cases this is possible. However, where a patient requires treatment out with the clinic or an onward referral to a medical specialist, say to an orthopaedic surgeon for an arthritic hip, then our GPs will write the required referral letter to an appropriate specialist or clinic in order that you may continue your treatment or investigation. In case where a patient requires to be referred back into the NHS this will normally be done via their NHS GP.

Yes, we do house calls, please call us should you require a house call. You may be triaged with a nurse over the phone initially to ensure that our staff would be able to address your issues if they attended your home.

Typically, you will have 20-30 minutes with the GP which allows time for you to discuss your concerns and symptoms without feeling rushed. If there are multiple issues to be discussed, please inform us when you make your appointment, and we can potentially extend this time. It will also enable the GP to gather the information they need, including details of your previous medical history together with any relevant lifestyle or family issues. At the end of your appointment, you will receive an outcome letter which will confirm the main points of the discussion and any diagnosis and recommended next steps.

In order to allow our patients to optimise their time we offer multiple access methods, be that the traditional face to face consultation, telemedicine, video consultations or home visits.
